Hi I’m Emma! You may have followed my previous lifestyle blog Thginkcm, which I started while I was at university, and continued for a few years, until 2021, where life got in the way and I decided it was time to retire my little blog. This is a decision I have really started to regret, and while Thginkcm was unfortunately deleted, there’s no better time than the present to start from scratch – so welcome to my new endeavour, Emma’s Notes to the Moon!
I wanted to step back into my blogging shoes, to dust off my writing brain, share my thoughts, opinions, and experiences, as well as re-join the wonderful blogging community. I started my original blog when I was prescribed Roaccutane for my acne in 2018. I kept a monthly diary of my skin’s progress, as well as sharing my reviews of various skincare, makeup, and many (many many) lip balms, based on how well they worked with, or helped, my very dry skin. I also documented my experience of being at university, reviewed the books I was reading, talked about the places I travelled, tested out recipes, and wrote about small ways I was trying to become more sustainable. Unfortunately the majority of those posts have gone, however I’ve thankfully been able to salvage a very small handful of blog posts from Thginkcm, so I will be uploading some ‘posts from the archive’ too, to help preserve those pieces as best I can.
Since Thginkcm, I’ve been navigating the graduate job market, we’ve had a pandemic, I’ve been made redundant twice, been in a years long reading slump since finishing my literature degree (which I’m finally starting to crawl back out of), I’ve started my own small business (Mission Better), I’ve developed Psoriasis (although the acne hasn’t been too bad, so thank goodness for Roaccutane!), we got a new puppy, I’m still interested in learning about the history of space travel, I’ve taken up running, and so much more which I can’t wait to write about!
So if you’re an old friend, thank you so much for coming back, and if you’re new – welcome! I’m excited to be back in the blogging world!
